Works In Progress... they flow like lava

The workshop is rarely idle, and Spring/Summer 2009 finds us finishing up a batch of six or so, including two totally brand new designs.AR-5 is a variation in the Tenor size, while a new Concert (15 inch scale length) model is fresh off the press in mid June. It's the smallest, lightest, loudest little bundle of joy you could ask for and it brings a smile just thinking about it... The tailpiece features a Plumeria flower while the headstock shape is also a fresh idea. I'm looking forward to designing many more... it's my favorite part of building instruments.
Naturally, as one batch gets finished the next is already well planned, and soon we'll be making sawdust and maybe a lefty or two... I have a few experiments I want to try, and a special order or two, so send me a line and we'll make one to fit you, too.

I'll throw in a few from the deep past, like my first (bent) archtop, some of the flat tops I used to make, and the prototype, AR-1.

And just to think, it all began with one humble uke...
