"Kay" curly Koa AR-3 Tenor SOLD
Curly Koa is very hard to find
This uke is made entirely of curly Koa. Not only that, but the top is one piece, as is the back, and the neck. The side is one continuous piece also, all cut from the same board. She has enjoyed the most favorable reviews of any so far, and sounds as good as she looks... I tried a slightly higher bridge for 'Kay', and she's a bit louder and full voiced than most. Cocobolo fretboard and tailpiece, two tone black and 'ice blue' Corian bridge, Gold Gotoh Minis
"Marvin" Afr. Mahogany AR-4 SOLD
"Marvin... he was a friend of mine."
Everyone needs a friend these days, and you could find much worse to ease you through the 'nightshift' than our "Marvin" here. Handsome is as handsome does... and for eye-catching woods, this all African Mahogany Tenor should take a prize. And he sounds as sweet as he is comfortable to play, with a distinctive mellow voice. Features an Ebony fretboard and tailpiece complimented by an 'ice blue' Corian Bridge and nut, gold Gotoh Minis and a one piece, mahogany neck.
"Neida" Concert size SOLD
Smaller, Lighter, Louder...
Everything is downscaled except the volume; even the neck width is slim and sleek on this African Mahogany and Port Orford Cedar beauty. The cutaway is enhanced for easy access to the high notes generated through the X braced ultra thin top, while a Murbau fretboard compliments the carved Koa Plumeria flower tailpiece. Lightweight Gotoh Machine Heads hold the notes steady between the white Corian bridge and nut. Not designed for the lumberjack with the sausage fingers, this sweet, petite uke deserves a Hula Girl with a sunset on her shoulder... 15 inch scale length.
